Dierks Bentley was one of the many Americans donating blood to help the victims of the Las Vegas shooting on Sunday (October 1st). He posted a photo of himself on Instagram yesterday (Wednesday, October 4th) in the midst of donating writing, First smile in two days thanks to being around other donors and great people @americanredcross. I haven’t really been able to function at all since the shooting. such deep sorrow. sadness. heavy and dark. My relationship with country music fans, as well as my band and my crew’s relationship with them, is something we all cherish so deeply. some of those friendships have been forged for well over a decade. my heart breaks over and over again for all those fans in Las Vegas and their families.”
More than 500 people were injured during the shooting, leaving the American Red Cross asking for extra blood donations.
Dierks is set to perform for another good cause — hurricane victims. He will participate in the Country Rising concert at Bridgestone Arena on November 12th along with Reba, Little Big Town, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Sam Hunt and more.
