What started as one concert to wrap up his Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood in Nashville next month has now grown to six. The superstar added that sixth show yesterday (Monday, November 13th) in response to demand.
The latest addition to the concert schedule is on Friday, December 22nd at Brigestone Arena, and tickets for that show go on sale on Thursday (November 16th) at 10 a.m. CT at Ticketmaster.com/GarthBrooks, Ticketmaster Express at 1-866-448-7849 or 1-800-745-3000 or the Ticketmaster app.
His five previously announced shows on Saturday, December 9th; Sunday, December 10th; Friday, December 15th; Saturday, December 16th; and Sunday, December 17th have already sold out.
Garth tells us the response to the Nashville shows as well as to the other cities throughout the tour have provided inspiration for an amazing wrap-up. [“The thing you didn’t know – that has proven to be the best thing – is you didn’t know the tour was going to take three years and three months just to get through North America. You had no idea. So, to have home as a beacon that now you’re running to? It’s going to drive all of us to finish this country’s biggest tour in history – it’s going to drive us all to finish strong.”] SOUNDCUE (:24 OC: . . . to finish strong.)
So far, Garth has sold over 6.3 million tickets on this tour, making it the biggest North American tour in history and the biggest American tour in the world. Last week, he took home the trophy for Entertainer of the Year at the CMA Awards for the second year in a row.
