Garth Brooks celebrated the sale of his six millionth ticket over the weekend in Indianapolis. He and Trisha Yearwood performed five shows throughout the weekend, playing their last on Sunday (October 8th) during which they acknowledged that special ticket holder. Garth tells us: [“The six-millionth ticket-holder was a doll. She was perfect – exactly the person you want the entire crowd to be, right? And my favorite part of her story was her ticket was just rows from the top of the arena…and she had bought four single tickets for her and her three girlfriends. Now, they’re all single tickets – this means none of them were sitting together, more like sprinkled out up top. And she gave the three better tickets to her girlfriends. She put herself last. And because of that, guess who was sitting in the seat that was the six-millionth ticket sold!”] SOUNDCUE (:38 OC: . . . millionth ticket sold!)
Garth didn't reveal who that lucky lady is — he said it's her story to tell — but no doubt he rewarded her with all kinds of prizes as he has with these milestone ticket holders in the past, including paying off tuition, buying cars and a list of other tokens of his appreciation.
Tomorrow night (Thursday, October 12th), Garth becomes the first artist to perform at the brand new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home to the Atlanta Falcons.
