Garth Brooks stopped his concert in Oklahoma City on Saturday (July 15th) to acknowlege a marriage proposal that was taking place in the audience. Garth was in the middle of his performance of “Unanswered Prayers” when he noticed a man named Drew Bargsley who was proposing to his girlfriend. The superstar asked the woman, named Chelsea Townsend, where they were going for their honeymoon. When she indicated she had no idea, Garth offered that if they would go to Hawaii he and Trisha Yearwood would pay for it. He joked to the crowd, “Before we go back, is anyone else getting engaged tonight?” Trisha came out onto the stage later in the show where Garth pointed out the couple and asked if she was okay with paying for the honeymoon. Trisha agreed and then said to the couple, “Congratulations," adding, "But nobody else can get engaged tonight.”
The Garth Brooks World tour with Trisha Yearwood travels on to the West Coast this weekend with shows on Friday (July 21st) and Saturday (July 22nd) in Inglewood, CA.
