Luke Combs has been enjoying what some might call a "lucky streak" with his debut single climbing to Number One and his debut album, This One's For You," also topping the Billboard Country Albums chart. His new single, “When It Rains It Pours,” mentions a guy who gets lucky with scratch-off lottery tickets, but as Luke tells us, the song is hardly autobiographical. [“The last time I bought a scratch off, gosh its probably been . . . I do it every Christmas. That’s always been our tradition. We always put it in each other’s stockings. I always win but I never make any money. My dad will buy 10 dollar scratch offs and then I’ll win two dollars or something. I’m not a huge gambler per say. I’m not a mega huge risk taker. But that was probably the last thing I won was probably a dollar on a scratch off ticket. I wish I won one hundred dollars on a scratch off ticket, that would be nice. But the guy in the song does so that’s okay.”] SOUNDCUE (:33 OC: . . . so that's okay.)
Luke performs in Charlotte, NC tonight (Friday, July 7th) on The Devil Don't Sleep tour with headliner Brantley Gilbert.
