Artist reaction:

Maren Morris: “I've grown up watching the GRAMMYS, and they are such a pinnacle for an artist. I'm so honored to be nominated by my peers who I am so inspired by every day.”

Keith Urban: “It’s 2am and I’m just coming down from a crazy great show overseas. I’m totally blown away with these nominations. Making RIPCORD was really a collaborative labor of love both for the music and all the people that helped me bring my vision to life. I’ll stay up anytime to hear news like this . . . just not sure of how to get to sleep now!!”

Kenny Chesney: “You’re kidding me. That’s fantastic. What a thing, what news to wake up to.”When I heard the song, I knew it was pretty special, but when we got P!NK on there, it was something else. She captures all the emotion, all the joy of being alive, being free and in the moment – and brought everything inside the song to life. I couldn’t be happier this morning, knowing the people who vote for the GRAMMYs heard in that song all the things that I do.”

Kelsea Ballerini (via Twitter): “I was 15 the first time I saw a Grammy. It was in a studio I was recording some of my first demos in. I remember asking if I could hold it, being it's biggest fan, and knowing how important it was. I wish I could go back and tell that 15 year old starry eyed girl that she'd be nominated a few years later. #BestNewArtist @recordingacademy”

Brandy Clark: “I put my whole heart into Big Day in a Small Town, as did all of the co-writers, musicians, and producer Jay Joyce, so for it to be so well-received not only by the fans and press, but now also by the GRAMMYs is a really sweet reward.”

Chris Young: “I am so honored by this morning’s news. Cassadee and I have had such a great time together with this song at radio and on tour. Having it not only go No. 1 but also be nominated for a Grammy is really incredible!”

Cassadee Pope: “This moment is beyond any I could have ever imagined. 'Think Of You' continues to change my life in amazing ways, and I am grateful for everyone who has believed in Chris and me. Thank you to The Recording Academy for this generous nomination!”
