You won't catch Maren Morris performing her live shows in stilettos. The singer likes to be as fashionable as the next entertainer, however she says when it comes to touring, she makes comfort a priority. ["On stage I like to be comfortable but also sort of amp it up a little. I'll wear like leather pants but also put a comfy boot on cause I move around a lot so I'm not like stationary with a guitar the whole time. I really like to dance and move so I can't wear like eight inch heels (laughs) on stage unless it's like an award show and it's three minutes and you're done, but on stage for my shows I definitely like to be comfortable but edgy."] SOUNDCUE (:29 OC: . . . comfortable but edgy.)
Maren continues on the 15 In A 30 tour with Sam Hunt. Tonight (Wednesday, August 23rd), she's in Nashville to perform at the ACM Honors event which is dedicated to celebrating the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards. The two-hour televised special will air on Friday, September 15th at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. Other performers include Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Thomas Rhett, George Strait and Brad Paisley.
