The Country music world continues mourning the loss of Montgomery Gentry's Troy Gentry, who was killed in a helicopter crash in Medford, NJ on Friday (September 8th) just hours before a scheduled show there. The weekend has been filled with tributes to the 50-year-old singer both on social media and in concert.

Troy's death was confirmed on Montgomery Gentry's Facebook page on Friday afternoon with a statement that read: “It is with great sadness that we confirm that Troy Gentry, half of the popular country duo, Montgomery Gentry, was tragically killed in a helicopter crash which took place at approximately 1:00 p.m. today in Medford, New Jersey. Details of the crash are unknown. Troy Gentry’s family wishes to acknowledge all of the kind thoughts and prayers, and asks for privacy at this time.”
Troy leaves behind wife, Angie, and daughters Kaylee and Taylor.
Funeral details are unknown at this time.
