With Delta citizen’s reported wait being roughly a decade, Greenville’s new U.S. 82 bridge over the Mississippi river was recently unveiled for the public.
Officials from the Mississippi Department of Transportation reportedly met with mayors from Greenville and Lake Village, Ark to give the two city officials a first walk through of the bridge before the official ceremony.
The design for this bridge cost an alleged $250 million and will allow for a suggested faster travel to and from Greenville from Arkansas.
The main span of the bridge being a reported 1,378 feet long, this becomes the fourth longest bridge in the North American Continent.
