Preliminary Stage for South Delta Trial

The pre-trial work has reportedly been initiated for the civil case against South Delta Regional Housing Authority.
SDRHA residents and the South Delta defendants will apparently meet on Aug. 26 in Greenville for a case management conference.
In addition, the plaintiffs, who include citizens from Cleveland, Indianola, Rolling Fork and Belzoni, were obligated to present all of their expert witnesses to the court.
The defendants reportedly have until Aug. 27, with all motions either side wishes to make before the trial being due by Oct. 11.
This civil case comes after South Delta allegedly gave notice to their tenants of doubled rent in August 2009, and in an investigation of South Delta by the FBI earlier in the year.
