Carrie Underwood has always taken time out of her busy schedule to participate in CMA Music Festival, which takes place this week in downtown Nashville. She tells us why the event is a one-of-a-kind. ["The greatest thing about CMA Music Fest — the whole week — no other genre of music does this, you know? This is so unique to country music. It's so unique to Nashville. People come from all around to come here and just have fun for the week, and it is something that, you know, this kind of fan appreciation just doesn't happen anywhere else."] SOUNDCUE (:22 OC: . . . happen anywhere else.)
Carrie will hit the stage at the Grand Ole Opry tonight (Tuesday, June 6th) for two shows. On Wednesday (June 7th) she will perform "The Fighter" with Keith Urban on the CMT Music Awards. The fan-voted show airs on CMT at 8 p.m. ET.
