Brett Eldredge kicks off his first big headlining The Long Way tour next week and he has tapped labelmate Devin Dawson to join him. The two artists seem like night and day both musically and personally, but Devin tells us the combination will make for a great show package. “I think that he is kind of a dark horse in his own right, you know, and he's had seven Number Ones now so obviously he's very affirmed in his success and in his sound in this genre. I think we're on opposite sides of it but I think it fits so well. Like, we both have this kind of soul nature to our voices and to our music and we love love songs but we still like hopefully have a commercial, relatable nature to our music, but just as people, he's a very energetic, kind of joking, kind of silly guy and I'm more of like a chill kind of like introspective kind of guy really, so where we're opposites I'm pretty sure we're gonna be more like compliments, I guess, right, and I think the nature of us combining those two together is gonna make for a really good tour.”
The Long Way tour opens on April 5th in Garden City, ID. The trek also features newcomer Jillian Jacqueline.
Devin currently sits at Number Two on the Billboard country singles chart with “All On Me.”
