Dierks Bentley didn't let doctor-ordered voice rest stop him from cheering on the Nashville Predators during Monday (May 22nd) night's game 6 against the Anaheim Ducks. The singer and his wife, Cassidy, were in the packed crowd at the Bridgestone Arena in Music City to watch their favorite NHL team beat the Ducks to move on to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in the franchise's history. Dierks posted a couple of Instagram videos minus the sound. Instead, he held up a small notepad with the phrases "voice rest, feel like crap," and "go Preds" written out. He ended it with a clip of the cheering crowd behind him and the message, "We want the cup!" Dierks captioned his video, “Can’t talk, but I can raise my fist and stomp my feet and make some noise for our boys!”
Illness forced Dierks to cancel his scheduled concert in Birmingham, AL on Sunday (May 21st). In a message to fans, he apologized for the cancellation writing, "I am sick and have pushed myself too far and have no voice now."
Other country stars in attendance at Monday night's Preds game include Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, who performed the National Anthem.
