Eric Church continues on his quest to hit the scalpers where it hurts, and he's done it again, this time by canceling more than 25,000 of their tickets to his current Holdin' My Own tour. According to the AP, the tickets will be released today (Tuesday, February 21st) at noon local time for the remaining stops of the 60-city tour. Previously purchased tickets for his tour stops in Canada, which start on February 28th in Ontario, have already been released, and more tickets for his shows in Washington and Oregon will go on sale on February 27th.
Eric told the news service, "They buy thousands of tickets across the U.S., not just mine, and they end up making a fortune. They use fake credit cards, fake IDs. All of this is fraud . . . We're getting better at identifying who the scalpers are. Every artist can do this, but some of them don't. Some of them don't feel the way I feel or are as passionate."
The Holdin' My Own tour plays in Indianapolis on Thursday (February 23rd).
