Florida Georgia Line headlined a trifecta of sold-out stadium shows this summer, culminating with Saturday (August 12th) night's performance at Chicago’s historic Wrigley Field. After dominating both Boston’s Fenway Park (July 7th) and Minneapolis’ Target Field (July 29th) last month, the home of the Chicago Cubs’ baseball team was packed with rabid fans there to see FGL as well as the Backstreet Boys, Nelly and Chris Lane.
In addition to their numerous hits, FGL introduced such uncut tracks – aka “FGL Underground Party Jams” – as “Turnt” and “Swerve.” Another highlight was when Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard surprised their wives with roses onstage that lead into an impromptu sing-along of their multi platinum-certified Number One hit “H.O.L.Y.” Brian said, “We both decided that when we got married, we’d be different husbands in this industry and we just have to prove that by our actions day by day. We love y’all so much – thank you for being the best wives ever.” Tyler added, “Chicago, give it up for them one time. These are the ladies behind the men – they make it happen, I promise y’all.”
FGL's Smooth tour 2017 continues through the fall, capping with a two-night stand at the Verizon Amphitheater in Alpharetta, Georgia, on October 20th and 21st.
