Frankie Ballard and his new bride, Christina Murphy, made their debut appearance as a married couple on the red carpet at the ACM Awards earlier this week. Frankie surprised fans when he shared the news of their wedding on March 12th, especially because hardly anyone knew he was even in a relationship.
It turns out the two have been dating long distance — he lived in Nashville and she lived in Los Angeles — for six years. They decided to take things to the next level when Christina moved to Music City recently, as Frankie tells us: ["We live in Nashville, and I think when Chrissy moved to Nashville from California that's when I really knew that she was the one, you know? We started living together and I was like, 'Woah, wait a second, I got a partner. This is my partner,' you know, so I'm very blessed. It wasn't a secret. It wasn't supposed to be a secret. I just wanted to make sure that when she was introduced it was as my wife cause that's what she deserves."] SOUNDCUE (:24 OC: . . . what she deserves.)
Frankie's new single is a cover of Bob Seger's "You'll Accomp'ny Me," which he recorded for Christina as it's the couple's song.
Frankie plays two shows this week in California, beginning tonight (Wednesday, April 5th) at the House of Blues in Anaheim.
