Garth Brooks' new studio album, Gunslinger, arrives at retail on Friday (November 25th). The project is his first studio album since 2014's Man Against Machine. Gunslinger features Garth's current Top 30 hit, “Baby, Let's Lay Down And Dance.”
The superstar tells us the album's title and the songs included are a bit of a throwback to the Garth music of the 90's. “The title 'Gunslinger' is very much No Fences, Ropin' The Wind because gunslinger just means you feel like you can do anything. You're just out there and you're just shooting from the hip every night having a blast, and then as far as the live part of it, the tour, I think this reflects very much like In Pieces did just how noisy it is, how fun it is to turn it up and it's very live. These pieces would work great live if you're lucky enough to get to put them in that list of songs.”
Garth's other new studio project, Christmas Together, an album of duets with wife Trisha Yearwood, debuted at Number One on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart this week.
He released his latest boxed set, Garth Brooks: The Ultimate Collection, earlier this month exclusively at Target. The 10-disc collection includes Gunslinger.
