For the first time in a decade, Garth Brooks tops both the Billboard and Mediabase country singles charts this week with "Ask Me How I Know." This is Garth's 19th Number One hit and follows the chart-topping success of "More Than A Memory" back in September of 2007. "Ask Me How I Know" is featured on the superstar's 2016 album, Gunslinger.

While ecstatic about the feat, Garth tells us he's also really happy for the sole songwriter who penned "Ask Me How I Know": [“I gotta tell you – the story you’re just gonna love is the songwriter. A kid that just moved to town with nothing but a dream. This is the only song he’s ever got recorded. He’s on Cloud 9 and should be. His name’s Mitch Rossell, and this kid is a good, good kid. Could not happen to a better guy.”] SOUNDCUE (:13 OC: . . . a better guy.)

Garth also claims the Number One spot on Billboard's Top Country Albums with The Anthology: Part 1, The First Five Years.

He and Trisha Yearwood wrap up their North American World Tour this weekend with several shows in Nashville.
