Jake Owen's new single, "Good Company," found him at the time he thought he was finished recording his latest album, American Love. The beachy vibe of the song spoke to Jake, and he tells us he couldn't resist the pull of what has become his signature sound. ["American Love was pretty much finished and my buddies Tommy Cecil and Jared Mullins and Matt Alderman, they were writing and they wrote 'Good Company,' and Matt said, 'Man, this is a Jake Owen song. Like this just feels like who that guy is,' and Tommy said, 'Man, I send that guy songs all the time. I don't want to bother him. He's finished with his record,' and Matt's like, 'Please, just send him this song,' so he said he turned his computer back on, sent me the song and I responded in 15 minutes with like, 'This is it! This is a great song,' and I was in Puyallup, Washington with my band in a backstage dressing room that same evening and we recorded it the way you hear it, like the horns in my band, everyone played on it and it just was this thing that happened and I think because of it it really, truly exemplifies kind of my sound."] SOUNDCUE (:47 OC: . . . of my sound.)

"Good Company" is the third single from American Love, which has already produced a Number One hit with "American Country Love Song."

The "Good Company" video will be released very soon.
