Jason Aldean just might be getting his very own street in his hometown of Macon, GA. According to The Telegraph, a resolution sponsored by Macon-Bibb County Mayor Robert Reichert calls for establishing “Jason Aldean Way” along a portion of the town's Pine Street as a thank you to the superstar for his contribution to Children’s Hospital. In April of last year, Jason performed a benefit concert for the Hospital at the Grand Opera House raising half a million dollars. The Macon-Bibb County Commission is expected to vote on the “Jason Aldean Way” measure at today's (Tuesday, February 7th) meeting. Other landmarks named after prominent Macon musicians include Little Richard Penniman Boulevard, the Otis Redding Bridge, and Duane Allman Memorial Boulevard.
