Jon Pardi and Dustin Lynch each top the country charts this week with their respective hits "Heartache On The Dance Floor" and "Small Town Boy." Jon takes Number One on the Mediabase chart while Dustin claims the top spot on Billboard for the fourth consecutive week, making it the chart’s longest-running leader of 2017.
Jon tells us: [“It’s been really fun to watch it just kind of soar up, and program directors and fans and country stations across the country just loving it – ‘That’s my favorite song on the record,’ along with every other song they say, ‘I love that too.’ It’s just been really cool. I pushed for ‘Heartache’ ‘cause I thought it was a cool summer song. It had a cool kind of Southern California vibe to it when I was thinking about writing it and kind of running into a girl, getting to know her, but could never really get to know her and wondering where she’s at. So, it’s a cool story, and it’s fun to sing live.”] SOUNDCUE (:33 OC: . . . to sing live.)
"Small Town Boy" is the second single and Number One hit from Dustin's brand new album, Current Mood. He said, “I always knew ‘Small Town Boy’ was something special, but to be #1 for four weeks is absolutely incredible. It’s been amazing to see people embrace this song and to have the continued support of Country radio. If I had to sum up my ‘current mood’ right now, it’d definitely be pumped!”
Jon is currently on the road as part of Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour. He is gearing up for his third headlining tour CMT On Tour Presents Jon Pardi’s Lucky Tonight tour, which kicks off October 12th.
Dustin will headline The Ride or Die tour beginning November 3rd in Fayetteville, NC, featuring support from Michael Ray, LANCO, and Ryan Hurd on select dates.
