Little Big Town heads to New York City this week for a couple of big events, not the least of which is the 60th annual Grammy Awards. In addition to being one of the few country acts performing during the live broadcast, LBT is up for two awards — Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their chart-topping hit, "Better Man," and Best Country Album for The Breaker.

Group member Kimberly Schlapman tells us why the Album nomination is so important. ["This is my favorite record we've ever made. It was like from our souls, and the fact that it's been nominated, it means that much and it's made that much of an effect on people means an incredible amount to us."] SOUNDCUE (:13 OC: . . . amount to us.)

The Grammy Awards airs live from Madison Square Garden on Sunday (January 28th) on CBS.

On Friday (January 26th), LBT will perform at the MusiCares Person of the Year tribute to Fleetwood Mac. Selections from the band's legendary catalogue will also be performed by Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band, Brandi Carlile, Alison Krauss and Jerry Douglas, Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, Harry Styles, Juanes,  HAIM, Lorde and Miley Cyrus.
