Luke Bryan launched his ninth annual Farm Tour 2017 last night (Thursday, September 28th) in Lincoln, Nebraska. Since the tour’s inception in 2009, Luke has awarded 50 college scholarships to a local student from a farming family within the communities the tour has played. A total of more than 100,000 fans have gathered on the farms each year.
Luke tells us: [“Anytime we can take a step to help facilitate dreams and agriculture and be smarter about how the food’s being made and being safer and stuff like that, the awareness of that can never be undermined . . . If I can educate some people on it and that can be my platform, I think I’ll always, the farmers out there and the people in that world will appreciate and they’ll know I’ve kinda stayed true to my roots.”] SOUNDCUE (:34 OC: . . . to my roots.)
Luke is joined by Jon Pardi at each stop, along with Adam Craig, the Peach Pickers (Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson & Ben Hayslip) and Jon Langston plus DJ Rock. They play tonight (Friday, September 29th) at Don-Ale Farms in Baldwin City, KS.
The Farm Tour wraps up on October 7th in Centralia, MO.
