Maren Morris got some big validation in the form of a Grammy on Sunday (February 12th) for her recording of "My Church." Despite the honor, Maren told reporters backstage that the award would not affect her creative process for the next album. ["I don't know. I don't really look at things in terms of pressure. I think that's extremely counter-productive to the creative process. I haven't started writing my next record so I guess I'll have to answer that question later down the line but if anything this just gives validation to the fact that that album did something for people and, I don't know. I think going to the next one . . . it's gonna be fun, not . . . I don't think it's gonna be pressured at all."] SOUNDCUE (:28 OC: . . . pressured at all.)

Maren's latest single, "80s Mercedes," is a Top 12 hit on the country charts.

It's the second single from her debut album, Hero, which is available everywhere.
