Maren Morris will release the Deluxe edition of her debut album, Hero, on Friday (March 17th) to all digital service providers. The Deluxe version features three songs that did not appear on the standard version of Hero, which released in June of last year.
The new songs on Hero Deluxe are called “Bummin’ Cigarettes,” “Space” and “Company You Keep,” all of which were co-written by Maren. All three songs are regulars in her live sets on her Hero headlining tour.
Maren tells us the songs on Hero reflect not only her growth as an artist over the past few years, but the sounds that influenced her. [“One of my favorite things to do is just be in the studio. I think the last few years, just being a songwriter and being in studios to do demos I have learned a lot from the best players in town just, you know, the sounds that I love over the last few years, and also just being a music lover myself I definitely was inspired by a lot of like classic rock, and country, and R&B sounds. We tried to find a happy medium to weave all of these different influences.”] SOUNDCUE (:31 OC: . . . these different influences.)
Maren's brand new single, “I Could Use A Love Song,” arrives at radio this week.
The singer has announced news that she's taking her Hero tour international, playing her first dates in the UK and Ireland in November. Tickets for the overseas leg of the tour go on sale on Friday.
