To say Thomas Rhett was shocked when he got the news that his latest album, Life Changes, was nominated for Country Album of the Year at this year’s Grammy Awards would be an understatement. Thomas tells us: [“I’m blown away to be nominated for a Grammy, especially be nominated for Country Album of the Year, because there’s a lot of really great albums that come out every year and we put so much hard work and time in the studio to this record, that to be nominated for a Grammy is definitely a massive cherry on top to a already incredible year. You know, this record has a lot of personal stuff on it and I think that’s why I’m so proud of it. And went in a couple different directions that I think we never in a million years thought we’d go and it’s just been amazing to see how awesome it’s been accepted by country radio, and our fans and can’t wait to see how it shakes out at the Grammys.”] SOUNDCUE (:30 OC: . . . at the Grammys.)
Tune in to CBS on Sunday (January 28th) to see if Thomas takes home that coveted Country Album of the Year Grammy. The show airs live from Madison Square Garden in New York City beginning at 7:30 p.m.
