Thomas Rhett earns his seventh career Number One on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase radio charts this week with the fastest-rising single of his career “Star Of The Show.” The song also holds a second week in the top position on Canada’s Mediabase Country Radio Chart.
“Star of The Show” is included on Thomas' sophomore album, Tangled Up Deluxe. It was co-wrotten by Thomas, his dad and hit songwriter Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip, and is the fourth to take the top position off his platinum-certified release. The song is the father/son duo's first co-write to top the radio charts and it was inspired by Thomas' wife, Lauren.
Thomas said, “I was in Houston this weekend for the Super Bowl when I got the news. It made for a really fun start to the game, even though my Falcons didn’t pull through in the end! I’ve always known this song needed to have its moment, so it’s really sweet to be able to celebrate it now and with Lauren and my dad.”
Thomas kicks off his first headlining Home Team tour on February 23rd in Saginaw, MI.
