Blake Shelton's brand new single, “God's Country,” was released on Friday (March 29th) and is the first song from his upcoming studio album. It was co-written by Blake's labelmate, Devin Dawson, along with Michael Hardy and Jordan Schmidt, and it has already claimed the top spot on the iTunes All-Genre Chart.

Blake tells us: “'God's Country' is simply a song about state of mind and wherever you're from and how you feel about that place, and for me, it is about being from the midwest or the west, whatever you call Oklahoma. That's where I was born and raised. That's where I still live and those are the images I have in my mind when I'm singing this song, and that's where I was born and that's where I wanna die.”

Blake will be joined on NBC's The Voice tonight (Monday, April 1st) by Brooks & Dunn, who will serve as guest advisors.
