George Strait will expand his “Strait to Vegas” shows into 2020, with two additional shows at T-Mobile Arena on Friday, Jan. 31st and Saturday, Feb. 1st. Tickets go on sale on Friday, Aug. 23rd at 10 a.m. local time via StraittoVegas.com. Previously announced T-Mobile Arena shows in Vegas include August 23rd and 24th and December 6th and 7th.
George tells us that he's enjoying these blocks of tour dates in Sin City versus being on a full-blown tour. [I’m glad to be back and do some shows here and there, right here in Vegas. And especially since I’m really not going to have to do the big tour thing where every weekend I’m bam, bam, bam, ‘cause that’s what kind of got old for me. I mean, there’s road warriors out there, I’m just not one of ‘em. I mean, I did it. I did it for a lot of years, and so I’m just gonna not do that for a while.”] SOUNDCUE (:23 OC: . . . for a while.)
George also recently announced his return to the heartland in 2020 via performances at INTRUST Bank Arena on Friday, Jan. 24th for Visit Wichita Presents Strait to Oz and in Kansas City for Strait to the Heartland at Sprint Center on Saturday, Jan. 25th and Sunday, Jan. 26th.
He will release a limited-edition special re-issue of his 1995 Strait Out of the Box: Part 1 exclusively at Walmart starting on September 13th.
