Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini will return to co-host the three-hour ABC-TV special, CMA Fest, set to air on Sunday, Aug. 4th at 8 p.m. ET. Filmed during Nashville’s annual four-day CMA Fest, taking place tomorrow (Thursday, June 6th) through Sunday (June 9th), the television special features more than 30 performances and surprise collaborations on stage at Nissan Stadium. 2019 marks the 16th consecutive year of the broadcast, a feat no other U.S. music festival has achieved.
This is Kelsea's third year to co-host CMA Fest — Thomas' fourth — and she tells us the experience has pretty much been a dream come true, getting to talk to and watch all her favorite entertainers hit the stage. “It's so fun! I mean, I feel like it gets you more involved in the whole CMA Fest, and for me, personally, just to be able to introduced someone and then watch them. I mean, it keeps us here all four nights and we get to watch our friends and watch our heroes and I'm a fangirl to the core, and just to be able to sit and watch and soak it up every night is super cool.”
Kelsea will take the Nissan Stadium stage to perform tomorrow night while Thomas performs there on Friday (June 7th).
